Memory Care & Dementia Care in Encino, CA

Personalized Dementia Care in an Elegant Setting

Navigating options for care when a loved one is experiencing dementia can be difficult. Spouses and families are faced with many unknowns and questions about memory care communities: What type of medical care is available? How are staff trained? Are the rooms private or shared? How will my loved one stay engaged? Is there a waiting list to get in? All of these are important concerns and should be thoroughly discussed when considering a memory care community.

The Vered of Encino, which opens its doors early 2025, will offer families in Los Angeles County an unprecedented opportunity to provide their senior loved one with clinically excellent memory care in a refined community environment. Our holistic approach to dementia and memory care encompasses all aspects of life, including the mind, body, spirit and environment. So, residents experience a lifestyle and community culture focused on their total well-being.

Memory Care Defined

What is memory care?

Memory care in a senior living community is designed to provide a safe, structured environment for those living with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia. The staff in a memory care community are specially trained to help residents with personal care tasks — much like they would in assisted living. However, in memory care supportive environments, staff are also trained to handle unique issues that often arise as a result of dementia. They check in with residents more frequently, providing extra structure and support to help them navigate their days.
